HEATSAFE Local Working Session in Cartagena, Spain
A new HEATSAFE local working session will take place in Cartagena, bringing together municipal technicians, social organisations, and local stakeholders to further advance the project’s implementation at city level.
The session will focus on the validation of the local heat vulnerability map and the identification of priority intervention areas, where actions such as climate shelters and shading solutions will be most urgently needed. Participants will work collaboratively to assess real conditions on the ground and refine the areas where HEATSAFE measures will be deployed.
The meeting will also contribute to the definition of upcoming awareness-raising activities, pilot actions, and rapid response measures, supporting Cartagena’s efforts to strengthen resilience to extreme heat and protect the most vulnerable populations.
This event will represent a key step in translating technical analysis into concrete local actions within the HEATSAFE project.
