HEATSAFE participates in the Second Institutional Policy Dialogue of the Green Living Areas Mission in Brussels

27/10/2025

On 15–16 October 2025, representatives of the HEATSAFE project took part in the Second Institutional Policy Dialogue (IPD) of the Green Living Areas Mission, held in Brussels under the framework of the Interreg Euro-MED Programme.

The Federation of Municipalities of the Region of Murcia (FMRM), as coordinator of HEATSAFE, attended the event together with two project partners: EuroVértice (Spain) and the Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change (CMCC) (Italy). The event brought together more than 25 thematic projects working towards a green and resilient transition across the Euro-Mediterranean area, addressing key topics such as territorial planning, sustainable mobility, energy transition, and climate change adaptation.

HEATSAFE’s participation was an opportunity to present progress on urban heat risk prevention and adaptation measures, and to explore synergies with other Euro-MED initiatives and policy instruments. The dialogue also offered a collaborative space to exchange with key Mediterranean stakeholders on how to transfer project results into effective public policies and promote climate resilience at local and regional levels

This participation highlights the commitment of HEATSAFE and the FMRM to building sustainable, healthy, and climate-prepared municipalities across the Mediterranean region
